Italians in Cape Town, Italian expats living in the Mother City and everybody interested in Italian culture can look forward to the annual Cape Town Italian Film Festival which this year will take place between 16 October and 22 October 2017. The theme for the XVII edition of the Italian Language and Culture Week of the Italian Cultural Insitute Società Dante Aligheri will be Italian Cinema and its role in the diffusion of the Italian language and culture throughout the world.
During the Film Festival some award-winning Italian movies will be shown. All the films have received prestigious movie awards and will be screened in Italian with English subtitles.
There will be a variety of films shown during the Italian Film Festival in Cape Town. We will advise about the films as soon as we receive more information or follow La Dante's Facebook page here.
On 20 October 2017 the Italian week's organiser La Dante will welcome a special guest, Carlo Taglia, world traveller, who will visit Cape Town on his African journey. He will be speaking at the Società Dante Aligheri in Gardens. Tickets: R80/R50 for members. Contact La Dante for more info here.
