Robertson Wine on the River Festival

Open-air spring festival in the Robertson Wine Valley around Robertson, McGregor, Ashton and Bonnievale. With wine tasting events and fun family events. Browse through the farmer's market, visit the arts and crafts stalls or take a leisurely boat cruise. Read more

Stellenbosch Wine Festival 2017

The country's oldest wine festival will move to a new venue at the Coetzenburg Sports Grounds in Stellenbosch. Enjoy gourmet food, excellent wines from 75 wine farms and 10 boutique wineries and listen to some awesome South African live music.

Robertson Hands-On Harvest Festival 2017

Explore a full range of fun experiences, from tasting fine wine and delicious deli products at the various wine estates in the Robertson Valley as well as harvest and blending experiences with some of the countries best cellar masters to open-air concerts, picnics, nature walks, kids entertainment and even a fun 'amazing race'.

Constantia Fresh Wine Festival 2016

When? 27 February 2016

Come and enjoy the happy vibe at the Buitenverwachting Wine Estate. Taste more than 200 wines and top-notch gourmet bites prepared by some of South Africa's most celebrated chefs.

Tickets: R495 p.P. (book tickets via quicket.co.za). The event is on between 3pm and 7pm


Paarl Omniberg 'Round the Rock' Festival 2016

When? 5 March 2016

Enjoy the friendly atmosphere at this music festival for the whole family in Paarl. Join a wine tasting or gourmet pairing session with some of the best chefs and winemakers of the region. Lots of activities for the kids too.

Wellington Wine Harvest Festival 2016

(no separate event, but incorporated into the ABSA Cape Epic this year!)

When? 20 - 21 March 2016

Cape Wine festivals in the Wellington area are planned by many wine estates and the festival includes traditionally more than 25 member wineries and offered lots of activities in the last years. This year Wellington hosts the ABSA Cape Epic mountain bike race and there is no official harvest festival, but a variety of harvest festivities and activities will still be held.

Franschhoek Summer Wines Festival 2016

When? 6 February 2016 

Taste the wines of the Franschhoek Valley at the festival held at Leopard's Leap Family Vineyards from 12 - 5pm. Tickets: R150 at webtickets.co.za


Franschhoek Oesfees Harvest Festival 2016

When? 19 March 2016 (TBC)

Now in its seventh year, take part and celebrate harvest time at Solms-Delta Wine Estate in the spectacular Franschhoek Valley this autumn. The AKTV Oesfees, a wine and music festival, will introduce you to some of the great local music and great local Cape food. From 9am until 9pm.

Costs:(TBC) In 2014: R130 (prebooked, or R150 at gate) for adults, R30 for children aged 2 - 12 years, kids under 2 free. More info.


Constantia Food and Wine Festival 2016

When? 17 - 19 April 2016

At the oldest wine festival in South Africa, the popular wine festival in the Constantia Wine Valley, you can explore the finest wines and delicious food on offer. More than 40 local wineries showcase their best vintages.

Robertson Wacky Wine Weekend 2016

When? 2 - 5 June 2016

The ever popular 'wacky wine weekend' in Robertson promises to be another crowd pleaser with lots of events planned to be going on. Book your accommodation early and enjoy the activities from food and wine tasting to boat cruises on the Breede River taking in the scenic setting of the Robertson Wine Valley.

Wines of Hermanus and Overberg: Wine and Food Show 2016

When? (TBC) August 2016

Head out to Hermanuspietersfontein Wynkelder at Hemel and Aarde Village in Hermanus for a wine tasting of some of the best wines the Hermanus and Overberg have to offer. One of the best wine festivals in South Africa! A great opportunity to spend a lovely weekend in the Overberg area.
